Prescott and Surrounding Areas
The Prescott area has so much to offer. The most attractive feature is the weather. Four mild seasons to give you all the seasonal changes you love, but to moderate degrees. There are miles and miles of hiking trails, lakes to fish and kayak in, and creeks to explore. If you love to golf, you will love it here! You can choose from 8 courses in the area.
The area boasts 3 colleges: Yavapai Community College, Prescott College and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
We have an exceptional VA Hospital, and Yavapai Regional Medical Center has 2 campuses, West in Prescott and East in Prescott Valley.
Downtown Prescott is a destination for many. The charming Courthouse Plaza is a lovely park setting downtown, often the location for festivals, fairs and concerts. Restaurants and shopping frame the square, offering every thing from pizza to Thai food. And of course, the famous Whisky Row borders the west side of the Plaza. Prescott is Arizona's Christmas City and hosts holiday events from Thanksgiving to New Years Day.
Chino Valley is just north of Prescott and offers a slower, more rural lifestyle. Many of the properties have acreage, and horses and farm animals are a common site. So are the Pronghorn Antelope that roam the open lands between Chino Valley and Prescott Valley. Prescott Valley is east of Prescott and is one of the fastest growing towns in Arizona. You will find plenty of restaurants and retail opportunities here, as well as the Prescott Valley Event Center, home to concerts, rodeos, trade shows and ice skating in the winter months.
Whatever your needs are, you are sure to find it in the Quad City area.
